Location: Wurzen, Germany, or Remote in Southern Europe.

Quality Assurance ensures that our products and services meet or exceed customer expectations by implementing and continuously improving the Quality Management System (QMS). Quality Assurance manages various QMS activities to ensure continuous compliance with company procedures and requirements. Quality Assurance supports activities to identify and implement improvements, including working with managers and employees, and coordinates procedures to correct deficiencies.

• Quality representative for compliance with external audits in accordance with the ISO 9001 standard and classification societies such as DNV, BV, ABS, LR, CSA, TUV.
• Conducting internal audits, preparing audit reports and communicating the results. Supporting various employees of the company in root cause analysis (RCA) and implementation of preventive and corrective actions.
• Managing the organization's corrective and preventive action system. Monitor internal and external requirements for potential update or improvement opportunities.
• Support customer service in the Field Trouble Report (FTR) process.
• Conduct various departmental training and support the organization in QMS training activities. Analyze, identify and implement improvements to manufacturing and/or business processes to improve capability and performance. Troubleshoot problems or quality issues related to products, processes and corrective actions
• Apply good manufacturing practices and monitor compliance; provide support and guidance in the preparation of Manufacturing Data Books (MDB) and product certification issues. Assist the Quality Manager in achieving the department's compliance goals.
• Collaborate with other members of management in the development of new manufacturing and training methods.
• Maintain knowledge of government and industry quality norms and standards.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a quality assurance leadership role or as an analyst in a manufacturing environment. Certification as an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.
• Familiar with members of the International Association of Classification Societies.
• Good investigative and problem solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to think logically and methodically.
• Good interpersonal skills and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Negotiation, supervisory and leadership skills
• Decisiveness combined with the ability to work independently and proactively.
• Previous experience in a machine shop, foundry or sheet metal shop a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with quality system auditing and report writing.
• Knowledge of standard manufacturing and safety procedures.
